Evenbalance has just given Punkbuster some additional features. In addition to global GUID bans, Punkbuster will now compute GUID's for various pieces of a hardware in your machine. This means that new bans are permanent, and will affect any existing/future games supported by Punkbuster which is increasing rapidly!
A few of the major bugs fixed:
» Demo playback crashes.
» Random client disconnects on level4 fops.
» Linux client crashes on map restarts.
» Win32 client crashes.
» IAC anticheat updates
Splashdamage is going to publish new patch for Enemy Territory. Main features will include and you might not like them:
» removal of Covert Ops; everybody with lvl4 Battlesense reveals locations of mines for teammates
» no more self healing or ammo for Medics and Fieldops respectively (only other Medics and FO can help out)
» Soldie.....
The new verion and long awaited Enemy Territory Competition Mod is out. There is a few bug fixes to sort out but so far it's working fine. There will be a slight update out soon to fix some small problems.
As usualy lots of bug fixes and new features compliment the game and make it a little better then it was to start with.
